INFOSYS Interview Process for Experienced Professionals

Aspiring candidate’s can apply for Infosys recruitment by directly login to Infosys careers website:

Infosys recruitment team will scan your resume uploaded on the portal as per the current requirement. If the requirement meets your skills set then you will get a call from Infosys for face to face interview.
During Face to Face Interview Infosys conduct only two rounds.
Round1: Technical Round (30-40 minutes). Panel of two at the max will be taking the Technical Interview. This is the main round. Be prepared for this round. Questions will be asked from your resume only. Questions that are been asked is related to technical questions, projects related questions and about your role and responsibilities in current organization etc.
Round2: HR Round. You will be called for the round only if you qualified the Technical round. This is just the simple round i.e. Salary negotiation, Location preferred and notice period etc is discussed in this round.

Be sure that you must be well prepared if you are going to give the interview for Infosys because once you failed to clear the interview you will not get the second chance for another 9 months.

    This statement means that before offering you the position, Infosys recruitment team wants to check out the best package that they can offer to you.It depends upon the current compensation you are getting and what salary you expected during the interview. We must always hope for the best as your chances are still alive...

    Hi Vineeth,

    If you have cleared both the rounds, possibility of getting the offer letter is quite sure. Wait for another one week, sometimes Infosys roll out the offer at once for all the selected candidates. If then also you didn't received the offer, then do contact them with your candidate ID.

    I have 2 year experience in .net,right now i m working in a small company and also I m selected in infosys I and ask 1 month notice period,one of my friend was selected by infosys and called for attend the training in Mysore for 15 days.their they conduct lot of interviews around 26 to 30 test and interview .I think he was failed in that test and returned back.So that only i m getting panic if I not able to pass those procedures means I will loss my current job also .I m confused.I cant run my life without job atleast for a month bcoz my situation is like that.So please give ur valuable suggestions.

    Hi Rithish....Infosys is a dream company for almost every IT professional. One is lucky getting an opportunity to work with brand org like Infosys. I recommend you "Please believe in yourself" Don't compare yourself with anyone. If you cleared the Infosys interview it means you have capability in you to move on.. Rest if you have some personal concerns then i suggest keep your top required priorities first.Rest the decision is all urs. Best of luck!!!

    Hi Neeraj, I have 3yrs exp in Testing and received a call from infy hr, she said like there will be a Interview on coming friday. but i'm yet to receive a call letter. What can i do now? how to contact them? And you mentioned like 2 face to face rounds. I heard that there will be also a written round. Is that true?       Hi Sarvana, If you received a call form Infosys regarding interview, than surely you are going to get a call from them. Sometimes it will get delay but still you can react it positively. For 3+ experience , they don't conduct written exam...

    Hi Neeraj,I gave my interview (Cleared both the rounds),But in HR round she didn't say. you are selected.She said to me if you are selected you will get a mail within 20 days.But after 2 Days they called me again they discussed some HR questions.He told to me am forwarding my feedback to HR team.So what is the status?       Hi Sriker, Yes, it happens in most of the cases. But don't worry, A person who is not selected get the intimation mail from Infosys within 3-5 days of last interview else consider it as +ve.

      Hi Ashwani, first of all apply through any referral (who is presently an employee of Infosys) This is the best time to apply.. Secondly be sure that you have 60% + criteria all thr' your exams...Thirdly, be sure that you are applying for the positions that best suits your experience and skills sets...

    I have given an interview in Infosys today.The technical round was nearly 1 hr 20 minutes.At last interviewer asked me twice to wait and asked to sit where I was sitting before the interview.Then after waiting 10 minutes a person came and told me that
    "you can leave for the day...we will revert you within 2 weeks"....

    Can you please give some idea on what can be the status.....am i rejected ...................??

    hi i had my technical round and then hr round on friday 28th august.i said that i need some time to decide regarding the offer as offered package was very less .They told me that they will call on monday, but haven't received any call till now.
    Is it a mistake to ask them for some time to think for the offer, as i want to join infy but haven't received any call till now.

    Hi Neeraj,
    I had cleared infosys interview on 6th sep and i had informed that i will receive offer within 2 weeks. At the end of second week i got regret letter. I had asked the reason for rejection through infosys query mail id and they replied me that the reason is confidential. After that i gathered information through one of my friend in infosys that i had cleared all rounds but they didn't tel the reason for rejection. I felt very sad about that and for myself infosys is my dream company. Really i felt very very bad. is there any possibility for knowing reason.

      Hi Karpagamari...Infosys will never let you know the reason...Might they have reviewed your profile again after the interview and seems they don't want to take it further...or the possibility can be the position you applied for is already filled by some other HR person.I can understand your situation but don't give it up...The things always happens for good sake...

    i gave my interview on 7th sep,i cleared tech round and attended hr round...there they dicussed about salary,project everything... but till now no updates,i didn't get any mails.I applied through referal, my friend is telling like whatever the post i applied for ,it is showing rejected but one more row created with some other job id's and there the status is pending...now i am confusing,wether i am selected or rejected.could you please give the suggentions here...

    Hi Divya..Please check the other JOB id for which skill set it is related to. If you have given both the rounds and still not received any rejection mail within a week after the interview then it means still you have chance of getting the offer letter...All the Best!!!

    Hi Attended Infosys interview, had two rounds of technical interview after that they said will share the result throw mail. Few days later i received mail from HR team with subject as "Regret Letter" with saying i was not found with current set of requirement and have stored my details on their database and get touch in future.

    They come say that Am i rejected?

    I attended infosys interview on oct 11, they took a technical interview for 1 hr . after that they came and told we will get back to you in 2 weeks . When i asked my friend he told tat because of the low expected salary they might have not called .. Can u suggest will i be selected or rejected.

    On 21st Dec 2013, I had cleared all the rounds (Technical and HR) and Interview were taken as per profile and requirement discussed to me on phone by HR. But on 24th I received regret letter, although I am not sure why I was rejected as even salary, job location, Joining date, project everything was discussed with me. I was quite hopeful.
    I think they had all my details before sending a interview call and if position were not as per the requirements they should not have called me for interview.
    To be noted now one more row is created with some other job Id's in my profile and it's status is "In Process". now I am confused whether do I still have some hope for selection or am I rejected ??

    or can I get another call for interview ?

    now I cant apply in infosys for next 9 months.

    Hi Neeraj, I have received the call letter yesterday and they have asked me to fill an application form online and the job description they mentioned is on Technical analyst but Im a TSM Admin. But the HR discussed about TSM on the phone conversation.I'm confused whether to appear for the interview or not as I could not appear for any interview with infosys next 9 months If I appear now.       Dear Priya, Infosys call only those candidate that have matching profile with current opening. what you have mentioned in your CV if selected by the panel against current opening then only you received a call. So, I suggest appear for Interview...

      I had that %age throughout but still my status is not selected. I applied for employee referral drive. Got user name password from them. Filled all the information. And next day the status is not selected. They asked for 2012-2013 passouts. I am 2012 passout with 1 year working experience. Does that went against me......coz I cant figure out any other reason.     I had cleared both Tech and HR rounds on 18-Jan-2014.I tried to negotiate with package but she keep on saying package is fixed at some amount for 4 years exp.she said if im ok with that package then she will proceed furthur otherwise will close my application.Last i said im Ok with the offer with little bit disappointing from my end.

    Now my question is due to my negotiation will she reject the offer?
    And how many days it will take to know the interview status?

    Hi Neeraj,

    i had my Infy interview on 18th Jan 2014. There were 3 rounds, technical, Managerial and HR. And they said if i get selected I will be getting OL within 10-12 days. But ,my referral told me that the status is " decision pending". Aft the interview, i.e on 20th jan i got a call from Recruitment team to send recent compensation hike letter. But since because of the status as told by my referral, am unsure whether am selected??

      Hi Shreya..One who rejected in interview get the regret letter within 3-4 days after the interview.The status will be shown "decision pending" till you get the offer letter. The process of releasing the offer letter is within 2-3 weeks atleast.. All the Best...

      "Not Selected" means the post you applied here for is not suitable or the opening is already filled. Look for another matching profile and keep on applying.

      Hi Sumeet. Yes Infosys will let you know in either case. Most probably if any body got rejected then Infosys let that person know within 3-5 days after the Interview.

    I cleared all the rounds( tech+hr) rounds on the same day,hr discussion also completed with them still offer letter is not generated,I'm having total experience of 3.5 in that i'm having 1.5 years of fake experience,may I know the how will be background verification of infosys please suggest me,
    Generally how much time will take to release the offer letter...???

      Hi Dear..Infosys release offer letter only after complete verification. If anybody do not clears the interview then infosys let them know within a week time after the interview through mail. else 90% there is always a chance of getting the offer condition that the background verification done is approved.

      Hi Sumeet. Don't worry in any case Infosys will let you know about ur selection. Sometimes Infosys pick slots for Freshers. So might be some delayed on there side. Be positive and cross your fingures. All the best!!!

      Offer letter are released as some of my had already recieved the confirmation and joined training in mysore on 3rd feb.
      So you have to wait for there communication to know the exact status and in eiher cases you will be informed that's for sure.

    hi neeraj,i have given interview on 31 jan for SSE in .net technology at jaipur.i cleared my first technical round after that they took another technical round with some managerial questions and they said that they would call me for another technical round and ask me free time slot but they didn't call me. I asked my consultant about feedback. He told me that you performed well among all candidate wait for call..as I am waitng.is there any chance to get call from Infosys . totally confused..

      Hi Harsh. Don't be confused. Infosys keep track of every candidate. Sometimes some position get hold for any reason. It takes some time. But definitely they will let you know.

      Hi Vinoth/Amarnath. Infosys confirms the information you mentioned in your resume. That is your educational marks, The experience and organisation mentioned etc. Infosys has teams that do these kind of verification's. Not only infosys but all the reputed organisations do verifications of all shortlisted candidates.

      Till now they didn't release the offer. Is there any other steps after technical discussion which I had over my call. Any help would be really appreciated.

      I got my offer on 19-02-2014, I attended on 08-02-2014, it took 11 days for me so guys don't panic about the offer, what neeraj is saying is absolutely correct, if you have not done well they will send the regret letter within a week, if you have done well surely they will send the offer.

    I gave my HR interview on 27th Jan, 2014 in Sholinganalur. I felt I gave my best. Since i din't receive any mail after a week I enquired them about the status. Got a mail saying they will revert to me in 2 weeks time. But when i checked the status of my application form it shows "Not Selected" . So, does it means i am rejected already? Please reply me.       Hi Ummu, Infosys will also drop an rejection letter to your mailbox. Till then wait for another some days. Sometimes Infosys roll out offers after a month of conducting test/interview.

      Hi akash, Earlier this criteria was there but now Infosys is very strict to 60% criteria throughout the academics irrespective to experience. But don't give it up. If you have good experience in hand then do apply.

    I have a small doubt like,I atteded the interview for infosys last saturday and I cleared both the rounds (techinical and HR).In HR round they asked location specific I said like Hyderabad is first prefrence and then Banglore,For they said Ok.

    Today I got call from recuirtment team and they told me all the details like my name and interview and Experience and package then after they asked me the are you willing to relocate chennai.

    For that I replied No,As I already told to hr in the hr round my location preference is Hyderabad.They said ok and then disconnect my call.

    Here I have a doubt like,Is I am Selected for Infosys?
    For Location specific I am not agreed right.Is they people rejected my candidature for rejected location ?

      Hi Kumar, Yes they will consider your reply for location. If they have vacancy only for chennai and you said no for that, then the case can be possible to put you on Hold for some more time.

    I had given my interview on 10 th feb but I have not received any communication from their side.I had mentioned my aggregate average percentage in resume but in consolidated marksheet CPI(cumulative percentage) was written which is calculated by university in some other way.Might It affect my chances in any way?? There is a good thing that CPI is still more than 70%,but 2 % less than what is my aggregate average percentage.Please help ,its a week but I have not received either selection or rejection letter.

    Hi Neeraj, I am a MTech fresher applied for infosys offcampus conducted in Chennai by feb8th. I cleared online test on feb 8th and attended tech cum HR interview on feb10th at chennai sholinganalur branch.     I have 61% in b.tech CSE, 67% in 12th and 75% in 10th. Is this score ineligible to get in infy. I had applied two time for off campus system engineer and both times they have not selected my resume. I don't find any other reason of rejection.     I have 3 + Exp in Selenium Testing , I have applied to infy through Reference, My Profile got shot listed, on Feb 22 I have cleared two technical rounds and one HR round (Package discussions and location constraints are discussed)
    Problems:
    1) My academic % are 10th 70 12th 61 and Btec is 59.17
    2) Now I am working with CSC. My first company was closed and I have mentioned in Hr Round
    3) On Monday I got a call from infy regarding my first company bank statements, I have submitted as per there request
    4) On Wednesday I got a call from Chennai infy stating that we have opening at Trivandrum are you willing to relocate? I said Ok. She said with in 2 weeks will will revert yo back and disconnected.
    5) Again I got a call from Bangalore and she said we are considering your first company exp only for 5 months as the bank statements are for 5 months only. I said ok (I have worked with the company for 7 monts and they havent credited my salary for 2 months) she said we will do our best and let you know
    6) For Test analyst position they have mentioned for 36 months Now I have only 35 Months still I am working if they consider march 36 months will be fulfilled

    Are there any chances of rejections if any please let me know.....ASAP

      Help desk provide the information against candidate ID. If they are saying "under process" then it might be. you can still have a hope. In any case you will receive confirmation mail from them either selected or rejected

    Iam a fresher & I appeared for infosys on 27,28th march and got selected(i appeared through JKC and so the results were told that day itself) . but the thing is in my application cockpit i mentioned two things wrong . iam from the stream electronics and communication but in application it was electronics and telecommunication(i realized it after submission). Secondly ,i did not find bachelor of technology in cockpit so i mentioned it as B.E . Iam worried plz help me out . Will they deny my offer letter on this basis ...

    I had attended Infosys Interview on 04 April. I went through the Technical ( telephonic)round which lasted for around 40 minutes and then HR Round ( F2F) round in which i was asked about preferred location , Salary , reason for job change etc. HR told me that i will be intimated about the final result in about 7-10 days. He even didn't gave me the feedback of the Technical round. Is HR round conducted only if the Technical round is cleared ? Not sure , what would be the final result .     Hi Neeraj,

    I appeared Infosys technical telephonic round on 22nd April. After that, I did not receive any update from HR though I requested to my concerned recruiter for any update of my candidature through mail. Don't they respond to individual mail?

    i have appeared for infosys apptitude test twicw within 9 months.in the first test i dint clear any rounds(which was an off campus drive),but in the second time which was an on campus recruitment from my college i cleared both the rounds and got my name in the selected candidtaes list,is there any chance of cancellation of my selection.how is the background checking done in infosys?

    i am selected for infosys...today only i got call and offer letter from infosys. i am very happy.
    so friends don't worry all you have must and should get a call if you cleared both technical and hr rounds. All the best.

    hi bramhini i attended the interview on 26th april in hyderabad location for sap security.i clear the tech round and hr round on 26th april.On 28th april i got a call from the company again they ask all the details like ctc,expected ctc,notice period,relocation but he didn't say any feedback
